Mark Kelly Tyler leads
Black History Month chapel
Feb. 21
Dr. Mark Kelly Tyler, pastor of Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia and an MTSO adjunct professor, will preach at MTSO’s 11:30 a.m. chapel. The service is part of the school’s celebration of Black History Month. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Indiana Collegiate Career Expo
Feb. 22
Visit MTSO’s booth at this event sponsored by 13 Indiana colleges and universities. This year’s event is in the 500 Ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. See all planned admissions events here.
Williams Institute
Feb. 28 and 29
Writer, scholar and activist Monica A. Coleman will deliver two Williams Institute lectures on the MTSO campus. Coleman is associate professor of constructive theology and African American religions at Claremont School of Theology in southern California, where she also serves as co-director of Claremont’s Center for Process Studies. The lectures are free and open to the public.
Mission and Evangelism Institute

Dynamic leaders of a rural church, an inner-city church and a church in a shopping mall offer their wisdom at the 2012 MEI. Registration is now open for this year’s event.
Creating Congregational
Cultures of Generosity

MTSO and the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving announce “Creating Congregational Cultures of Generosity,” an extensive seminar that will share the best practices in church fundraising with pastors and lay leaders.
