Welcome to the Methodist Theological School in Ohio Alumni/ae Web Page, an exciting, new alumni/ae informational outreach tool. In a world where the search for information and clarity has become a commodity, the imperative to separate the useful from the extraneous is no small matter. I hope that you will find this web page and its links helpful.
I was appointed Director of Alumni/ae and Church Relations in July of2007. I enthusiastically accept the ministry of advancing the presence of the Church in the School and the presence of the School in the Church.
My work includes planning, coordinating and implementing activities such as reunions and academic programs to promote active alumni participation in the life of the School. To that end, I'm interested in knowing what activities, programs and services would meet your needs. Please contact me at 740-362-3374 or brollins@mtso.edu with your suggestions!
I'm also interested in knowing what has happened in your life after Methesco. Please tell me your story! Here's a little bit of mine:
I am a 1982 graduate of MTSO. I am coming to this new position at MTSO after ten years of teaching in public schools and twenty-six years in ministry, including six years as a District Superintendent. It has been a privilege to serve in parish ministry positions in the East Ohio Annual Conference, in districts and in community ministries. I have been a delegate to North Central Jurisdictional Conferences and General Conference. My involvement in missions has taken me to Sumatra. Bali, Russia, Philippines, Rosebud Indian Reservations, India, Mississippi, Zimbabwe, South Africa and other destinations where the United Methodist Church is making a difference and offering individuals Jesus Christ.
It is a joy for me to be a part of the life of the day-to-day life of the School again, and I hope that you will open yourself to opportunities re-connect with our alma mater too. Know that you have a standing invitation from President Jay Rundell and from me to visit the campus whenever possible. If I'm not on the road visiting with alums and/or churches, I'd be happy to take you on a campus tour and treat you to lunch in Dunn Dining Hall!
