“I love the academic life and strongly
believe in its contribution to the welfare of our faith and
our world. I believe that church leaders who have learned
the discipline of study and developed the creativity that
can be nurtured as well as experienced in the academic quest
are more adequately prepared to lead us into an uncertain
future.”
