"For me, the librarian's function in the educational process is to facilitate the student's and faculty's access to the riches in both the traditional and electronic modes of information storage and retrieval. Although entrusted with the expending of a significant part of the institution's budget for materials to achieve this, I nevertheless treasure the moments of personal instruction and helping of individual researchers which pepper my day and make library service also an exercise in teaching and personal interaction."
