If you are currently a student, faculty or staff member at MTSO, you may use the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service provided by Dickhaut Library to make special requests for materials.
What May Be Requested
- Articles that you cannot locate electronically or in print through Dickhaut Library.
Time it Takes for Materials to Arrive
Interlibrary Loan requests may take at least ten working days to arrive at Dickhaut Library. You will be notified by e-mail when the Library has received the article.
Costs
Dickhaut Library tries to find libraries that lend their materials free of charge. However, in some rare cases, a lending library may charge a fee to loan an item from its collection. For example, some academic libraries will charge a fee to loan a dissertation or thesis held in their collections. Dickhaut Library users wishing to obtain materials through interlibrary loan will be notified of such fees in advance so they can decide to follow through on the request or not.
Before Making an ILL Request
If you are looking for an article in a particular journal, magazine or newspaper, did you check in the OhioLINK E-Journal Finder to determine whether it is available in full text?
