Password registration and reset guide
All MTSO gateways use students’ full email address and case-sensitive email passwords to login. In order to further facilitate support effectiveness, we have also implemented a round-the-clock reset option in the event that you have access troubles. Therefore, all students must register for the password reset service for this resource to be available to them.
To register: Visit the Password Reset Self-Service page, login with your correct password, and establish three security questions to be asked when you attempt a reset. By registering in this way, you will be able to reset your password should you lose or forget it.
To reset: Visit the Password Reset Self-Service page, click the “reset my password” link, and enter your email address in the appropriate field. You will be asked to answer your security questions and submit the captcha image text at the bottom of the page. Once you have successfully completed this step, you will now be able to rest your password. Passwords must follow the rules for adequate security level described on the reset page.
Changing your password: If at any time you would like to change your password or your security questions, you can log in to the Password Reset Self-Service system to do this. Simply click the link above, log in to your account using your email address and password and use the tabs at the top to toggle between resetting your password or changing your security questions (under the “enrollment” tab). Once you have changed your password in this service, it is changed for all MTSO gateways including MTSO email, Student Portal, and Sakai.
