Jay Rundell
President, Methodist Theological School in Ohio
Rev. Jay Rundell was appointed president of MTSO in July of 2006, following 16 years of service as a United Methodist minister and two years as vice president of institutional advancement at the Iliff School of Theology in Colorado.
Jay is an accomplished preacher and teaches advanced homiletics at MTSO. Beyond campus, he is a member of the United Methodist Church’s Commission on Theological Education.
A native of South Dakota, Jay graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Iliff. He is married to Dr. Kristen Rundell, a family physician with OhioHealth and director of Riverside Methodist Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program. Their daughter, Maren, is a student at Ohio State University.
