President Rundell on remarks by public officials

From MTSO President Jay Rundell:

The COVID-19 pandemic has unfortunately inspired too many of our nation’s public officials to misuse their platforms to shamefully dispense xenophobia, question science and promote religious intolerance. The social media posts this week by state Sen. Andrew Brenner and his wife comparing a statement by Ohio Health Director Amy Acton to Nazi edicts stand as just one reprehensible example. MTSO, whose campus is within Sen. Brenner’s district, calls on all those in positions of public trust to lead with compassion, tolerance and respect for the expertise of medical professionals.
