MTSO hosts theological education discernment retreat

An informative and meaningful day on the MTSO campus

Methodist Theological School in Ohio invites individuals ages 18 and up to a discernment retreat offering opportunities to learn about the relevance of theological education in today’s world. The retreat is made possible by grant support from the Forum for Theological Exploration.

The free full-day retreat runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the beautiful hillside campus of MTSO, located just north of Columbus in central Ohio. Continental breakfast will be provided from 8 to 9 a.m.

The day includes opportunities for guided discernment and spiritual practices on a campus committed to a just, generative and sustainable world. MTSO faculty, staff and students will be on hand to share their insights and answer questions. Lunch will feature food grown on MTSO's Seminary Hill Farm.

MTSO offers optional early arrival Tuesday, May 10, between 5 and 8 p.m., with free overnight accommodations and some activities.

Methodist Theological School in Ohio provides theological education and leadership in pursuit of a just, sustainable and generative world. In addition to the Master of Divinity degree, the school offers master’s degrees in counseling, practical theology, social justice and theological studies, along with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
