The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students (HEERF), found in Section 18004 of and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), provides funding to institutions of higher education “to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus.” Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO) received funding from the CARES Sections 18004(a)(1) Institutional Portion and 18004(a)(3).
